I was able to get quite close to this guy as I didn't move for about half an hour.

White-Browed Scrubwren

I spent a day around this small creek in highfields waiting for the birds to come and drink i got a few shots but this is one of the best. Hope to do more like that soon as its the only way to capture some of these small birds.

Sun Parakeet

Also known as the Sun Conure. Taken on a trip to Cairns.

Sapphire Rockmaster Damselfly

I love the colour in this species of damselfly, the blue is electric. Saw these while camping on the Clarence River, NSW.

Emerald Dove

Taken up at Kuranda.

Meadow Argus Butterfly

These butterflies set up their own territory by sitting on ground, when there is another butterfly or some other flying insect comes in, they will chase it away. Taken near the Clarence River.

Australian Bustard

I got this photo while me and a friend were traveling to Canarvon Gorge. I had never seen this type of bird, it stood over a meter tall.

Scaly Breasted Lorikeet

Taken in my backyard. I'm absolutely loving being able to create a folio of photographs of wildlife, it's given me something to do when I want to get out into nature and focus on capturing the unseen.

Lace Monitor

One of my favourite shots probably because of the similar colours of the goanna and the background. I took this last year on a bushwalk through Ravensbourne National Park.

Boyd's Forest Dragon

As the name suggests I captured this guy on a rainforest walk up near the atherton Tablelands. He was about 3 meters off the ground on a big fig tree getting some of the dappled sunlight.

Squatter Pigeon

On our first camping trip to Canarvon Gorge National Park we came across a number of birds that I had never seen up close before. This Squatter Pigeon just happened to be beside the road as we were driving in.

Tawny Frogmouth

What luck and with today being my first blogging day I arrived home from Tafe to find four Tawny Frogmouths in the tree out in the frontyard. Could'nt wait to get a good snap as you dont get opportunities like this often.

A new begining

So this is my new blog, a place where i'm hoping to show off my photography much like Kalyan Varma does. He's my idol photographer as he captures nature up close and things people never see so that is what i'll do only be more australian. He has alot of equiptment but as for now my Canon 450D will have to do.

So good luck and i hope to see more of myself on this site.
